Forget name
recognition! We have often been
asked - or told by some- about
name recognition and market
share as a benefit to a business
brokering franchise. In most
industries that is true, but in
this industry most owners are
unaware of business brokers and
the role they play. Furthermore,
market share and name
recognition refer to residual or
repeat business. This is very
rare in this industry because
it's almost always "one and
done" when it comes to a sale.
Furthermore, our feedback from
all brokers-not just ours-is
that name recognition almost
always played a role ONLY when
something went wrong like the
broker erred or outright lied.
